About Us
White Fox is a small custom tattoo studio with a fun, welcoming and professional atmosphere located in the outer Naarm/Melbourne suburb of Nunawading, Australia. We’re proudly a LGBTQIA+ and neurospicy safe space.
Vibe
Our experienced and empathetic artists aim to provide all our clients with a memorable and comfortable experience, and love collaborating to bring their ideas to life! We especially love working with clients who are seeking to rework scars or old tattoos as an empowering choice to reconnect to and reclaim that space on their bodies.
Origins
The studio was born in 2017, starting off with just Meg (Miss Megs) renting a tiny room in Richmond, and has since grown to include three other amazing artists in a big, bright space in Nunawading. Meg’s goal was always to create a welcoming, warm, professional and respectful safe space, particularly for women, LGBTQI+, POC, those with sensory sensitivities, or anyone that may have felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, disrespected, unheard, or unsafe in more traditional tattoo studios.
Ethics
White Fox tattoos has a strong ethic of ‘do no harm’ and believe strongly in kindness; we prefer to use vegan products that have not been tested on animals (but only where safe & legal, as we don’t want to harm our clients either!), we recycle whatever we can, and most of our clothing merch is sourced from local opshops and upcycled. We promote body positivity and are strong advocates for mental health awareness, and we love promoting and sharing local, ethical and bespoke sellers and believe strongly in supporting our wonderful community.

MISS MEGS

Studio Owner
I’ve been tattooing for around 16 years, and before that I did freelance work as a designer and illustrator.
In 2005 I completed a Dip. Design & Illustration, then in 2008 somehow convinced the guys at Absolute Tattoo in Woolgoolga NSW to give me an apprenticeship.
For the next ten years I worked in studios around Sydney and Melbourne, but couldn’t shake my growing ire at the issues in the industry and felt I needed a new career. After suffering through a BSc Psych I realised I loved tattooing, I just needed to be in a different space. So in 2017 I mashed together my love of body art, ethics, self-expression and compassion to open White Fox Tattoo Studio, my own studio with a fresh new idea.
Other than tats, I also love getting outdoors and meandering through the forest, or hanging with my weird lil guys (The Chihuahuas). I’m passionate about living and working an ethical and sustainable life, and am a proud advocate for the LGBTQI+ community and fierce trans ally.
Being able to live and do what I love is such an honour, and I am so grateful to all my wonderful clients for their continued support!

Fourth Year Artist
I’m a lifelong artist who grew up in a family surrounded by music, dancing, art and literature.
I became more serious about painting as a teen which lead me to receive the Top Arts People’s Choice Award followed by VCA best 1st year artwork.
I love collaborating with people, bringing their ideas to life and create memorable experiences together. I’m also a mother of two, swing dance teacher, stilt walker and former double bass player. So conversation is always interesting! I am honoured and excited to be part of this creative industry.

ELLI MAE
Elli
First Year Artist
Originally from Western Australia, I’m a Noongar kid that has been living in Victoria for over a decade.
But I still can’t handle the cold!
My tattoo style is rooted in American Traditional, a love of pinups, the natural world and anything sweet small and odd. I’m in my early years of tattooing and hope to keep growing and exploring my style.
Building a community within tattooing is of the most importance to me, so I love a chat, hearing your stories and learning from everyone I meet.
Tattooing is an honour, it’s a true gift to be apart of and I’m really excited to meet you!
Flash!
We love flash! We have a selection of flash available, both one-off designs and repeating flash.
Studio Terms & Conditions
First up, Thank you for supporting White Fox Tattoos!
We are a locally owned small business with tattoo artists who really care about making a difference for our clients and our community. The following studio terms and conditions help ensure we are all on the same page, so our clients know what to expect from us and what we expect from our clients to enable mutual respect, respect for everyone’s time, and so we can do our best work. We also know life happens and will always do our best to communicate promptly via text or email if things deviate, and also ask the same in return.
IMPORTANT: Please read our info and policies below and make sure you agree before you pay your deposit.
- Deposit Payments: These are done through our booking system Fresha via text or email, and are due within 3 days to reserve and secure your booking. If unpaid after 3 days, we will do our best to contact you first but note that your booking may be reallocated to another client. If you’re having trouble paying, need a bit longer to pay, or your link to pay has expired, please contact us ASAP through text or email so we can assist. Deposit payments are only via card through the above system, unless by prior arrangement, and may incur a 1.6% surcharge.
- Deposit Info and Cancellation /Reschedule Policy: A deposit reserves your appointment time and is deducted from the total cost of the tattoo at the end of each session. Multiple sessions will each require a deposit. Please notify the studio only by text, phone call, or email (not social media) at a minimum of 72 hours if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, as failure to give adequate notice may result in a loss of deposit.
- Design Fee Info and Policy: The design fee is added on with the deposit when an appointment is made, or the first appointment only for multiple session tattoos. This fee pays for the design only and is separate to any appointment deposit paid, it will not be deducted from the actual tattoo appointment itself. It includes one set of minor changes, and additional design changes will be charged an estimated fee based on size/ complexity, starting at $50. Significant changes or entire redesign will incur an additional new design fee.
If you wish to cancel your design, or make any changes you have to the initial consultation must be emailed or texted to us at least 2 weeks before your appointment booking date, so we can either refund your deposit if cancelling or alter your brief appropriately before any design work is undertaken. - Design Process Info: Designs are available for custom tattoos (not flash, or provided by the client), we generally hold a consultation beforehand to discuss this, and we only do custom designs for booked appointments. All designs will be done and sent out via email only, and generally around 5-8 days before the booked appointment, subject to your artist’s schedule that week. We will always try to give you as much time as possible to review the design before your appointment & provide feedback, so will be in touch if for some reason there is any delays or issues.
We want you to be happy and satisfied with your design so please be honest with feedback, and we will also be honest with what we can and can’t tattoo, and will always provide the best advice we can from our professional experience.
Sometimes design emails end up in junk mail so please check there first if you are still waiting, and if no luck, contact us ASAP to resend for you. - Super Important! All design fees and additional charges are; subject to artist discretion; calculated in good faith as a reasonable estimate of the time expected to complete the design; will be communicated to the client in advance; required to be paid in full before any design work or edits are undertaken; non refundable once design work has commenced; paid with the understanding that a design is not intended as a finished artwork in itself but serves as a guide to communicate between the artist and client the major elements of the tattoo.
